What hides behind that old closed door
A mystery from days before
What secrets kept by concrete walls
And does it hear the future’s calls
Or is it lost for evermore?
The old man sees the days ahead
Alone; a widow now she’s dead
Yet memories will always be
The joys of love, of he and she
Left behind in the garden shed

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
