Love Savvy

The tender touch I can’t feel
as paranoia steals my breathing
yet desire burns a raging flame
drawing closer
pushing away
on the precipice of despair
love me
don’t touch me
I seek beauty not lust
there are other things we can do
talk to me
shared philosophy in conversation
inspire my thinking
in gentle creation
of metaphysical passion
walk with me
in the wonders of nature
share delight of bird song
in the dark forests;
sigh at the sliver reflection
of the fish going to sea
let me cry
do not hold me
my tears are my own
and when the day is done
turn out the light
as I leave
to sleep alone
