As the setting sun charged the air
the river cast its spell on me
scarlet glimpses of reflections
rolling past me
sat on the grassy bank
my eyes focussed on the tip of the carbon rod
resting silently on its stand
the stillness of time absorbing my mind
my thoughts like the water drifting
with the close of the day

I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
