Example: Lost Chances by Jez Farmer

While walking rough roads my feet sore and bare,
And dreams were far beyond my outstretched hands,
Within the realms where no angels will dare,
You turned away each time I reached for you,
You wanted bikinis and beachy sands,
The wealth and glory all that mattered too.
I found the truth everywhere that I walked
With ev’ry step I felt my spirit grow
And then I saw you smile, we sat and talked,
At last, you planned to walk along with me,
But darling there is something you must know,
I don’t need you to hold me now, you see.
While walking rough roads my feet sore and bare,
I found the truth everywhere that I walked
