Form: Raven’s Rovi Sonnet 28
And how empty is this world without you
There’s no breath of air and no sound of joy
Just lonely darkness, alone without a clue
For life has no meaning and no substance
And still I seek your embrace to hold me
Amid the vagaries of this circumstance
My guiding light to where I need to be
But to you I was just another boy
Another toy left, landed where you threw
As in this darkness it is truth, I see
And love is something we could never share
For my heart still sings the songs of romance
In words heard by those who still dare to care
To dream of love when the world seems so bare
