A Beach Walk

Form: Raven’s Rovi Sonnet 29

Love, don’t let your soul drift so far from me
Not even for a day, that is too long
Yet I will wait ‘til you desire to be
As close to me as my heart is with you
I will wait alone in the pouring rain
Until you know and feel my love is true
I will wait for your kiss to ease my pain
And as we kiss, I will sing my love song
And then we’ll walk the beach beside the sea
Like a pair of fools that stroll hand in hand
When there is nothing left but love to do
For now that the world is ours once again
As my fingers stroke your hair’s wispy strand
Mingled with sea air and the beachy sand
