Flirting Messages

Form: Raven’s Rovi Sonnet 31

What is wrong with you, what is wrong with me
What is this thing that has us in its grasp
Like captives in bondage, yet we are free
Its silk cords that tighten around the heart
Each day to draw us closer into this
The pain of absence when we are apart
When we meet the pain explodes into bliss
Of silent looks and a gentle handclasp
The inherent beauty that is love’s art
That melts my soul in your eyes; I can see
As our lips reveal passion in a kiss
An unseen destiny that no one planned
In those first flirting messages on broadband
It’s love; what is there left to understand
