U2, an Irish rock band, formed in 1976, consisting of Bono (vocals and rhythm guitar), the Edge (lead guitar, keyboards and backing vocal), Larry Mullen (drums and percussion) and Adam Clayton (bass guitar). Originally part of the post-punk era the bands style has evolved with their career whilst continuing to be of an anthemic quality built of Bono’s vocals and the Edge’s guitar textures.

‘Vertigo’ is the opening track on U2’s album ‘How to dismantle an Atomic Bomb’. It was released as a single in September 2004 and received extensive airplay. An international success the song lent its name to the band’s 2005-06 Vertigo Tour. ‘Vertigo’ won three Grammy awards in 2005 and was ranked 64th on ‘Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Songs of the Decade 2000-2010.
Vertigo
Unos, dos, tres, catorce
Turn it up loud, captain
Lights go down, it’s dark
The jungle is your head, can’t rule your heart
A feeling’s so much stronger than a thought
Your eyes are wide and though your soul, it can’t be bought
Your mind can wander
Hello, hello (hola)
I’m at a place called Vertigo (¿dónde está?)
It’s everything I wish I didn’t know
Except you give me something
I can feel, feel
The night is full of holes
‘Cause bullets rip the sky of ink with gold
They twinkle as the boys play rock and roll
They know that they can’t dance, at least they know
I can’t stand the beat, I’m asking for the check
Girl with crimson nails has Jesus around her neck
Swinging to the music, swinging to the music (whoa, whoa)
(Whoa, whoa, whoa)
Hello, hello (hola)
I’m at a place called Vertigo (¿dónde está?)
It’s everything I wish I didn’t know
But you give me something
I can feel, feel
Checkmate
Jazz funk
Show made it in, yeah
All of this, all of this can be yours
All of this, all of this can be yours
All of this, all of this can be yours
Just give me what I want and no one gets hurt
Hello, hello (hola)
We’re at a place called Vertigo (¿dónde está?)
Lights go down, and all I know
Is that you give me something
I can feel your love teaching me how
Your love is teaching me how
How to kneel
Kneel
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Now I have to ask myself did we connect before I transitioned as I have used the Raven moniker for over 30 years
If we did, good to connect again.
