Form: Ivorian Sonnet 34
She hangs in the sky almost full tonight
As the clouds scatter to release her light
To the summer grasses on which we lay
Listening to the whisper of the breeze
The sounds of the night that have come to play
And as you rest your head within my arms
On a night like this surely, we must kiss
Surrender to the moon’s sweet loving charms
And I whisper your name to hang in bliss
So softly the breeze carries it away
To mingle with the rustle of the trees
As I know you belong here in my arms
This is the passion I don’t want to miss
For this is love and its blessed by moonlight
