T and F

Form: Prose Poem

Tea, freshly made on a Thursday afternoon and some free time in an al fresco tête-à-tête: from those first words talking hello and how are you in amber notes frolicking through brewing leaves: today you are mother pouring the fusion into china cups and on an ornate stand thinly sliced sandwiches of cucumber frills on creamy cheese, tartlets filled with salmon spirals, triangles of foamy mousse cake and on top fruity scones tormenting the question of what comes first, jam or cream. T for tea, Thursdays, and time combining with F for freedom, freshness and fusion; the sensual torment of frisky eyes taking the moment forward without words and I wonder why we ordered champagne – was that just fizzical temptation.
