Clerihew Notes

The Clerihew is a dipodic quatrain and consists of two rhymes
aabb
The title is the name of the person being satirised, and forms the first line

Example: Timelords’ Clerihew by Jez Farmer

They call him Doctor but who
When in his Tardis he flew
Like a shooting star tripping through time
But his fashion sense is a crime
His nemesis they call the Master
Through time he goes but much faster
All his evil plans never work
So really he is a bit of a jerk
Now the Daleks have come
To show how it’s done
And as they whine ‘Exterminate’
The Doctor has gone, they arrived too late
