Dvořák was a composer and one of the first Czech composers to achieve worldwide recognition. He frequently used rhythms and other aspects of folk music from Moravia and his native Bohemia. His music abilities came at an early age with his talent for the violin at age six. The first public performances of his work were in 1872 in Prague.
