Hush Now

Form: haiku stanzas

her flight arises
from among the lakeside reeds
to float on the wind
gliding as a sail
open to the morning’s breeze
before summer heat
and waterlilies
whisper to the eyes of dawn
poet is dreaming
surreal thoughts of blue
horizons where herons fly
hush now don’t wake him
