Cry Mercy

Form: Ivorian Sonnet 58

Your passion throws me into ecstasy
Yet in oblivion you release me
To the growling at the back of my throat
Once again calling, calling out your name
Do you hear it echo, and do you take note
But then I feel your hands demanding more
Your lips kissing me to surrender now
As your body pins me down to the floor
There is no where else that I want to go
But, darling, this wild beast you can’t tame
I know the game, and I know it by rote
To take back control vibrates through my core
In a twist of limbs as you let go
As my lips taste skin, you cry out - mercy
