Call of Fire by Jez Farmer

The gut instinct that comes from a somewhere
A someplace but I have never been there
Like a memory held too deep to share
From ancient days and my soul is aware
It feeds my spirit to do and to dare
And I find myself drawn closer to care
A past life seed planted deep inside me
So powerful I know it’s what must be
Without a question I can hear it’s call
I won’t fight it, but I’ll give it my all
For I long for it as I know it’s right
And now is the time to reach for that light
For this is the moment, this is the day
To face the unknown is the dragon’s way

Fake Smile and Cheesy Mime by Jez Farmer

Together we stood closely holding hands
The selfie stick poised awaiting commands
I feel the grimace of faking a smile
Reality, I want to run a mile
But you want a picture upon your phone
Isn’t a million enough , did I say
In a mystified and sarcastic way
And this time you don’t want to be alone
For love, I will do it just this one time
I will even pose like some cheesy mime
But you know my smile is gonna be fake
You say ‘they want to see you, what’s the crime’
It’s a crime for sure, but what can I do
A price I pay just because I love you

Another Day at the Office by Jez Farmer

I see the starlight beauty in her eyes
A glow that shines like a clear winter’s night
As her smile opens up my heart’s delight
And her laughter dances like butterflies
That flutter between roses white and red
And I watch the breeze that plays with her hair
And as she reads back the things I have said
Her voice holds me entranced within her stare
As she leaves with a wiggle of her ass
Like a flower child dancing to her tune
I watch with my emotions still in check
Until the clock ticks past the end of day
She’s gone, and another long night begun
As I head for home and dinner for one
