Afternoon sunshine As the points define Echoes A vision divine The late summer shrine Swallows Dance on the skyline While we sip the wine Aglow
Tranquil moments flow And time passes slow You’re mine Where loving seeds sow And the heart may grow Praline Sweet candy wind blow For lovers to know Divine
Late Afternoon in our Meadow by Camille Pissarro, 1887. Oil on canvas. Housed by the National Gallery, London, UK
I am a freelance writer and poet and started writing after raising my two boys as a way of discovering just who Jez is. That is still very much an on-going project but the journey so far has introduced me to many wonderful friends and fellow writers through an ever growing love of poetry.
