My Radiant Queen

Form: Raven’s Rovi Sonnet 6

How I have loved her sweet moments of grace
Her inherent beauty moon-kissed by love
As her eyes mirror where the night stars trace
Perhaps too much for a pilgrim poet’s heart
For such a goddess will claim a man’s soul
And tear this melancholy world apart
Repairing the broken to make me whole
Absorbing tears in a gentle embrace
My lunar lady reach down from above
To murmur your pure love inside my head
And softly take me where your joy cajoles
My spirit to find a new place to start
Once more bring me back home, my soul is bled
My radiant queen, destroyer of dread
