Ceramic Love

Ceramic Love
Form: Ivorian Sonnet 75
Theme: Love
Subject: Recovery

Your fingers shaped and moulded in the clay
Pulling and pushing it into your way
Propagating design you alone see
Your way again and again and again
Until the clay has nothing left to be
Your fingers shaping and moulding my heart
Only good to love you, so what if I break
There’s always another to take my part
To fil the mould of living to your fake
But the soul can mend all you tried to break
I’m no lump of clay to do what you may
My spirit’s strong and will defeat the pain
Without compromise, I live my life free
For my soul will never be yours to take
